XML Firewall with Centralized Access Management - New Version of Xtradyne WS-DBC Specifically Tailored for Telecomms

Berlin, Germany - 5 February 2007 - PrismTech, a leading provider of distributed software infrastructure, today announced the general availability of version 2.2 of its Xtradyne® Web Services Domain Boundary Controller (WS-DBC) security gateway product. The new release is the result of a substantial development effort to specially streamline the product for use in telecommunications systems, which often have a wide variety of Web Services based application systems running on multiple vendor platforms. A typical application scenario is the use of third-party provided value-add services, often using Web Services technology based on industry specifications such as OSA/Parlay or Parlay-X.

The WS-DBC is a platform and vendor-neutral XML/SOAP security gateway that helps enterprises implement Web Services standards cost-effectively, including SOAP, WSDL, WS-Security, SAML, XACML, XML Encryption, and XML Digital Signature. The WS-DBC can be easily integrated into existing Web Services infrastructures without modifying applications and provides WS-Security and unified security management across diverse platforms, such as Microsoft .NET, IBM WebSphere, BEA WebLogic, Java WSDK, and SAP NetWeaver.

The new WS-DBC product version with its tighter integration with the Xtradyne security policy server facilitates of definition and enforcement of unified security policies for the secure connection of Web Services as well as Corba based Parlay services to the operator′s infrastructure across middleware technology boundaries.

Version 2.2 of the WS-DBC is fully compliant with WS-Security and has been tested for secure interoperability with major Web Services platforms.
